As an Windsor wedding photographer this year has brought many challenges, unprecedented situations and lots of emotions for our couples. With planning and replanning…..and sometimes replanning again, our couples had to get creative with their covid weddings. Emily and Aaron were no exception. Deciding to go forward with their October wedding, they held a small, intimate gathering on her parents to die for property. The morning was spent with the girls at a local airbnb in Amherstburg, followed by a first look in the Navy Yard Park. We started our creative session there and of course Emily and Aaron just shined in front of the camera. Sometimes you get a couple in front of your camera that need little direction, well that was these two as you will see. The ceremony was held on right next to River Canard, where Emily and Aaron exchanged wedding vows in front of their ( socially distanced of course ( friends and family). The property was so beautiful we took full advantage to shoot some more creatives and of course it seemed appropriate being on the river to go for a canoe ride! I have to say I have had a lot of brides impress me over the years, but Emily is one impressive girl…she got in and out of that canoe in full wedding gown like a true pro! The reception was catered by the wonderful Smashed Apple and was a fabulous meal, which was a must,considering Emily herself is a Cordon Bleu trained chef. After dinner the first dance and parent dances were held under the golden sunlight shining down as the sun set. It was seriously magical and there was even a surprise appearance by the adorable Darcy……..you will see when you get to him. As the night fell, the bonfires were lit, the drinks were flowing and it was such a special atmosphere that will truly be remembered as one of our close to the heart, special events. Emily and Aaron, we wish you a lifetime of happiness, laughter, love and joy.
