I have to say being a wedding photographer during a global pandemic hasn’t been the easiest thing, but more so being a bride and groom during this has been much harder.  Kristyn and Derek bounced around a lot of ideas for their wedding during craziness and I have to say how it turned out was absolutely fantastic.  I give so much credit to the brides and grooms lately for not only rolling with the punches but being so creative in their planning.  Derek and Kristyn planned a backyard wedding and it made me fall in love with backyard weddings so much.  Leading up to the wedding the weather was looking not so great, which makes a backyard wedding a bit more difficult, but when the day rolled around, we were blessed with absolutely fantastic weather. We did a first look at a private residence on the water, which was beautiful.  The couple had a private moment on the dock where they saw each other for the first time.  I love a first look because it gives the couple a few moments to just enjoy seeing each other all dressed up for the first time.  We headed to the Low Martin Mansion for their creative session.   The ceremony was held at Mastronardi Winery in the vineyard, where the couple exchanged vows in front of their family and friends, even the family pup was a part of the ceremony ( you guys know how much I love that! ).  Following the ceremony, Derek and Kristyn did their first dance right there in the vineyard.  After the ceremony we headed over to the grooms parent’s house for their backyard reception.  The backyard was perfect, with beautifully decorated tents, twinkle lights all over.  Flowers floated in the pool and a love marquee sign framed the patio which served as the dance floor.  A great meal was had, heartfelt speeches were said  and then the dance floor was opened up with a dance by the grandparents! It really was the perfect evening with friend and families finally being able to share a celebration and time together.  I want to wish the bride and groom a lifetime of love and happiness:)
