I’ve been aWindsor wedding photographer now going on 15 years, and I think some of my favourite weddings ever are the ones that are held in backyards and on private property! There is just something personal and intimate about them that makes them very special.  When I met with Jessica and Eric and they told me they were having their wedding at their families homes I was very excited to see the outcome and to say I was blown away is an understatement.  It was a beautiful day to start and the girls spent the morning at the brides going getting ready and we met the guys at the riverfront for a first look.  We did the first look, which was filled with heartfelt moments and some comical moments.  Erics reaction to seeing Jess was perfect, as you will see below.  The genuine love and excitement in his face is prevalent! Their creative session was fun and easy thanks to them being just a great couple and their bridal party which provided lots of laughs and fun!

The ceremony was held in Erics families backyard and was just simply gorgeous.  The ceremony was a little extra special as they had a friend officiate, which always adds an extra personal touch.   The reception was held at Jessica’s family home and it was stunning.  On the water, a beautiful evening and the personal touches that the family all came together to do set the scene for a perfect evening! There is also something about an outdoor reception that makes it all a little more magical.  The rustic, boho theme was perfect for this setting.  Speeches were said, dances were danced and then the party started.  A wedding photographer always hopes for a great dance floor because it can show the atmosphere of the evening, but also these are usually where true personalities and friendships come to light and that is exactly what happened.  Overall it was a fantastic day.  There are some couples that I meet and I just know they are going to have a beautiful life and Jessica and Eric are one of those couples.  I could see the genuine love and affection they have for each other and surrounded by the support of their very loving and kind families and friends, there is nothing but a bright future ahead,  Thanks for allowing us to capture this perfect day and both me and Nikki wish you the most amazing life together!
