What a magical day to start off wedding season 2025. Kara and Shayne’s big day was held at the beautiful Sprucewood Estate Winery in Essex County, Ontario and what a day it was. We were blessed with perfect weather, and a day full of love and celebration to celebrate This Love. As a wedding photographer,I know All Too Well, how privileged to witness one of the most important parts of someones’s love story. The beginning to a new life together and a celebration of the time, commitment, love and devotion it takes leading up to this day. As someone who appreciates a good Love Story, this one definitely had some special moments. They couple did a first look before their ceremony and even exchange private vows to each other. This is just so incredibly special and I wish more couples did this. After their private vows, we did all their creative session for photos so they could fully enjoy their guests and reception later on that day! The ceremony was full of friends and family to witness Kara and Shayne exchange wedding vows and as she walked down the aisle to a beautiful version of none other than a Taylor Swift instrumental, you could see the Sparks Fly! Okay, okay if you haven’t guessed by now, with all the song title drops in this post, the bride is a Swiftie and so am I! Also you know you have found a good man when he quotes Taylor in the vows ( good job Shayne!)
The reception started with a great intro into the hall, followed by a beautifully choreographed dance by the bride and groom! Heartfelt speeches were said, a few tears were shed, lots of laughs of course and a fabulous meal by Chef Don. The party was started and a fabulous evening was had by all! The best part about photographing weddings is getting to see someone have everyone that means the world to them be in the room at the same time! While the photographs only offer a peek into a day like this, they will certainly be something to look back on and remember how the day felt. It was truly a pleasure to share this day with them and I hope they have a lifetime of love and laughing together. I hope you had the time of your life fighting dragons with each other:)
