Ashley & Julio’s Wedding Sneak Peeks

Im not even sure where to begin talking about this wedding cause it is so close to my heart!  I first met Ashley when she was around 11 or 12 and I was around 16 or 17.  Her family had moved to Amherstburg, where I grew up and I became very close friends with her older sister Shae.  Shae and I have remained friends for nearly 20 years now and her family is so very special.  When you get to know a family like the Juvenvilles, you are invited in to witness a very special family.  One that loves immensely, a family that laughs, that protects one another and always wants the best for each other.  They truly are a special bunch.  A few years ago Ashley made a big move to go out to California to do travel nursing and to take care of babies in paediatric nursing.  Let me tell you those are lucky babies to have someone who loves children as much as Ashely does!  It was out in California that Ashley met Julio…or if you ask around apparently he just stalked her until she agreed to go out with him!  When you first meet Julio the first thing you notice is his amazing smile.  He just emits a warmth from him that just makes you like him instantly ( really Ashley what DID take you so long??? lol)  Then you see them together and you see how much they love each other.  So I honoured and blessed to be asked to go out to California to shoot their wedding.  Not only was I going to get to capture this amazing day for such good friends, but I got to be there with them. The wedding was held at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach.  It is a beautiful venue and a perfect setting for a waterside wedding.  The ceremony was held outside by the water. I go to a lot of weddings, but even I had a hard time watching Ashley walk down the rose petal covered aisle with her dad.  It was beautiful.  Ashley and Julio exchanged vows in a simple and sweet ceremony and became husband and wife.  We shot their wedding pictures as the sun went down and captured some truly amazing moments.  Big thanks to Jeff for his speedy driving in getting us to the beach just in time for the sunset!! LOL   The reception was also held at the Portofino and it was sooooooooo fun!  As you go through the photos you will see smiles, laughter, a few tears, dancing, more laughing and even a glimpse of my husband!! LOL  There were heartfelt speeches, especially one by the flower girl Addisyn ( note the writing on the back of her speech – its such to get a giggle), Ashley’s mom and Shae. Then there was Darryl……….brother in law of the bride who just couldn’t contain himself in sharing a “ahem”  embarrassing “incident” about Ashley that actually happened at my very own wedding…….and no Im not going to write about it…..its only for us who were there:) Sorry!! LOL   Overall it was a magical day and a day that I am so blessed to have been a part of.  To Ashley and Julio – we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness and lots of babies!!!!!  Keep loving each other more and more every day…and also…..to the moon and back.
