Alycia and Adam had an absolutely beautiful wedding this past summer. It was the perfect combination of elegance and rustic flair. I first met Alycia when she was a bridesmaid for another beautiful bride of ours Stephanie, who was one of Alycia’s bridesmaids. After getting engaged in the amazing city of Paris France, she contacted me about shooting their wedding and I was more than excited to do so. The morning was spent with the girls at Alycia’s parents beautiful home for all the getting ready moments. Alycia’s gown from It’s your Day in Lasalle, was a gorgeous lace gown with a layered ruffled skirt and dropped tulle sleeves, perfect for the barn photos we would shoot later on that day. My second, Nicole, spent the morning with all the guys and captured some great moments of the guys getting ready and the super amazing gift Alycia put together for Adam. They married in St John Evangelist Church in Woodslee in a beautiful ceremony in front of all their family and friends. One of my favourite moments of a wedding ceremony is when the groom sees his bride for the first time and I can say Adam’s face absolutley lit up as soon as the doors opened.
After the ceremony, their adorable dog Paddington joined us for a couple pictures and then we headed out for the creative portion of the day. We were lucky enough to have Alycia’s best friend Stephanie, to loan us her amazing property and barn for the wedding pictures. A beautiful over 100 year old barn made for the perfect setting for their photos. A big thanks to Steph and Mike for allowing us to once again into their home and property! We also headed over to Lakeview Park in Kingsville for a second location. The beach and the cobblestone bridge always makes for a great shooting location.
The reception was held at Peele Island Winery. The room was decorated in soft golds with flowers and pearls. Every little part of the hall held a small detail of their relationship on display. It was elegant and beautiful all around! The reception was filled with heartwarming words from their family and friends, romantic dances and even a homemade operation game ( adam is a doctor! ) to get the couple to kiss! The night quickly turned into a dance party that was enjoyed by all while we quickly snuck out to take some photos in the amazing barrel room! It was a fantastic day with a fantastic couple. We wish them so many years of love and happiness!
