So I have been patiently waiting to shoot this wedding for some time now. As a wedding photographer, we love all weddings, but when something kinda different and unique comes along, we get excited! I met Courtney and Brandon through my husbands hockey team and when they got engaged, they called me up and told me they were getting married at the airport. Yes. The Airport. You see Brandon is a pilot and what better place to marry the love of his life. Needless to say I was super pumped……Then covid came along. So their may wedding was pushed to November and then back to September. They decided to still have the wedding at the airport, under a tent just outside of a hanger.

Courtney is one of the chillest brides ever and Brandon is just super funny, so obviously the day was so fun and enjoyable for everyone around them. They had an amazing group of friends standing by their sides, as they said their vows in a beautiful church ceremony. Courtney wore a gorgeous lace fitted gown complete with cowboy boots, as a nod to her love of horses.

The creative session was amazing. First at a conservation area and then to the airport to photograph the group at the private hanger and plane that Brandon flies. Needless to say their images are one of a kind and super cool. I think the hardest part about shooting Courtney and Brandon is they are always just having so much fun together, joking and laughing and being adorable that literally all of their images are either gorgeous or simply hilarious. In my mind, the perfect wedding gallery.

The reception was held just outside the aviation museum at the airport and we were welcomed to the reception with a flight briefing from the “crew” aka bridesmaids! The meal was delicious, the speeches heartfelt and the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife surrounded by the lights of the airport. A wonderful evening was had by everyone and I know for it is one for the books. Thank you to Brandon and Courtney for having me capture this truly epic day. We wish you a lifetime of safe flights, exotic destinations and a love that makes you feel like you are always flying.
