I met Jen and Aaron through my husband. As a Windsor wedding photographer, he always brings me the best clients! Aaron and my husband play hockey together and when he proposed to Jen on an amazing trip out west, they got in touch with me about shooting their wedding. Jen and Aaron are not the typical bride and groom. Mostly because they came in for their consult and said they wanted pictures, but they weren’t really “picture people”. They didn’t want to do engagement photos and just wanted to capture the day, as they said “its gonna be a little crazy”. And so it was……lol…..I spent the morning with the girls getting Jen ready for her big walk down the aisle. Although she was a tad nervous, her amazing bridesmaids, Eddie ( her amazingly adorable yellow lab) and a shot of whiskey did the trick to calm her nerves. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous in their sparkly cranberry gowns and Jen in her amazing ornate fitted gown….even Eddie was so handsome in his dapper bowtie. Nicole spent the morning with the guys. Aaron showed her the amazing wedding gift, a guitar, Jen had bought and had engraved for him.
Jen and Aaron married in St Anne’s church in tecumseh where many Windsor weddings take place. The ceremony was beautiful and at the end of their recession they were greeted with a Croatian band to start the celebration. We headed over to the Sandwich Brewery for their creative session and here is where the drinks started flowing, the celebration began and the fun started. Having a huge wedding party, we practically took up the whole place. With beers in hand Jen and Aaron rocked their creatives. I know I have a fun group when I have to break out my neon pink bullhorn to corale the group ( courtesy of my amazing partner Nikki). Of course that caused even more shananigans! lol We certainly had a lot of fun there and the owners were amazing to host us for their wedding pics.
The reception was held at the Fogolar Club. Allure Events did an amazing job with the decor, done in black and gold with greenery and candles, made it the perfect setting for the evening. The evening had a great meal, heartfelt speeches, many appearances of Eddies picture, dances and the most amazing band Eclipse providing the music and entertainment for the night. It was a great day, an even better party and we wish Jen and Aaron a lifetime of happiness and love……and maybe a brother or sister for Eddie. lol
