I knew the second I met Lauren and David we were going to have a ton of fun together. I became connected with Lauren through a fellow colleague and am so happy that we get to shot her and David’s wedding this August. You can tell just by being around them that they have a very cool, laid back relationship. Always laughing and joking around, teasing each other…..they really are adorable. We decided to do their engagement session at Ojibway Park. They both love the outdoors and hadn’t been to the park in some time. They love the outdoors so much, they are actually going camping for their honeymoon!
Lauren wore a gorgeous vintage dress that belonged to her mother, and some special significance to her. I thought it was a very cool idea to wear the dress and it suited her so perfectly. Right down to the way she styled her hair, her shoes and even her tattoos made it all so perfect!
Even though the mosquitoes were rampant that evening, we went into the woods to get some beautiful shots against the vibrant green greens. There is a small creek that runs through the park and I decided I needed to be on the other side of it to take the angle I wanted….thank goodness I had my trusty yellow rubber boots in my car. Despite stepping on a dead racoon and getting probably around 100 mosquito bites, it was totally worth it!
Coming out of the brush, we went into some more open space to avoid the bugs and take advantage of the gorgeous light coming through the trees and the adorable deers that were always nearby. We decided to send up our drone to see if we could capture some of the deers in a shot with them and we managed to catch a few!
We had a very fun evening and I can’t wait for August when these two very cool people say their vows!!! Congratulations guys!!
