As wedding photographers most of the time we get to know our clients after we are hired, but for Whitney and Damir’s wedding I was lucky to get to know them, not only through another wedding, but through a destination wedding. I had photographed Whitney’s friends wedding in the Dominican Republic a couple years prior, and we got to basically spend a week vacationing together! Originally they had also planned a destination wedding but in the end decided to stay here in Windsor with all their family and friends. when you are around these two, you are around two people who are in love. the way thtey look at each other is like they are seeing each other for the first time over and over again. They were completely comfortable in front of the camera and the pictures truly show their personalities. As a couple you can tell they laugh a lot together, which shows in a lot of the pictures.
Whitney’s morning started off with hair and makeup at her house with all her girls who are all just wonderful! Not only is Whitney beautiful and made an absolutely gorgeous bride but she is always smiling and laughing.. This girl is just fun! I had Clarissa on board to second shoot the guys and we all met up for a first look. The first look was sweet, touching and both Whitney and Damir were full of smiles! Our creative session took us to Brunet park in Lasalle where they rocked the session. Their bridal party was fun and easy going and made our job so easy. Whitney opted for a gorgeous sheath gown with amazing beading and a little bling, while the bridesmaids looked elegant in a mix of black and black lace.
The ceremony and reception was held at the Serbian Centre. The decor in the hall was amazing, done by Dream Weddings by Vivi. The gorgeous florals hanging all over the dance floor, made for a romantic setting for both the ceremony and reception. the reception was soon in full swing with a packed dance floor and we snuck outside for a few quick night photos and topped the night off with an amazing confetti canon pic!! The night was a perfect end to a perfect day.. We wish Whitney and Damir so much love and laughter for many years to come.
